January 2012 - Balance Bike

Gavin got a balance bike for Christmas. It's basically a kids bike minus the pedals. So far Gavin will stand over it and walk. In order to get him to wear his helmet, daddy wears his!

Trip to California - Bakersfield

I was bad about taking photos on our trip. Luckily Grandma and Uncle David always had a camera nearby. I'll have to steal a few from them to post later. Here are a few photos at the Beam house.

Our Trip to California - Visit with Joseph and Family

We arrived in Bakersfield on Christmas Eve. On Christmas day, Joel wanted to visit his high school movie theater job buddy Joseph, wife Rebecca and their two kiddos. Their little girl is about the same age as Trevor and happened to have her Mrs. Claus outfit handy!

I couldn't resist dressing Trevor up in his Christmas best.
He's not a fan of hats so take a quick look while he's still wearing it!

February already

Ok, so mom has been a little busy with life to update the blog. Since Halloween, we had Grandma Joyce visit for 2 weeks around Thanksgiving, which was very nice. She enjoyed seeing her boys grow in person! The second weekend she was here, we celebrated an early Christmas at Uncle David's new place in Gunbarrel. A few weeks later on Christmas Eve, we flew to Bakersfield to visit Grandma and Grandpa Beam. Trevor's first flight was a success. Gavin was a champ too. The flight was under 2 hours which helped. Uncle David joined us in Bako. The day after Christmas, we all drove to a little town on the coast, Cambria, and enjoyed a week there. The weather was pleasant and we enjoyed walking around town, visited Los Osos, Hearst Castle, San Luis Obispo and just enjoyed not having anywhere to go. Gavin enjoyed the 4 wheel toy that grandma and grandpa borrowed from the neighbor and playing ball with Bogie. Trevor just enjoyed the extra attention and being strapped to mom everywhere we went! Uncle David took some fabulous photos of the trip, it was great to see the scenery though his eyes. We returned home on New Year's Day. That was November and December in a nut shell!
