Snow said the little boy...

We finally got some snow in the past week in Colorado. We had a small storm on Thursday with about 2 inches then another bigger storm on Sunday of 4-6. David and I planned to go skiing on Sunday but he called on Saturday night and asked if I'd seen the weather report. Of course I hadn't. We decided to postpone our ski adventure for another weekend. Good thing. The wind was blowing on Sunday morning. Not sure I would have enjoyed the mountain driving in those conditions!

The first snow storm. Gavin wanted to step in a very dirty puddle. Mommy discouraged it! Check out that face though! Daddy shoveling 4-6 inches in 2+ hours on the driveway.

Gavin and Trevor watching daddy shovel and shovel and shovel.
We decided he deserved dinner that evening!

Gavin post-storm playing in the snow!
Run and jump, run and jump!

Just a few more, I promise...

Trevor with his big smile! Gavin and Trevor enjoying the new sports theme in Trevor's room.

Amy, do you recognize the shirt? Thanks, it fits!

Gavin's Swim Lessons

We signed Gavin up for Dolphin 1 swim lessons in January. He graduated from the mom or dad in the water with me classes last fall! He was a little old for the last class but we thought it would be fun for all four of us to be in the water together. Trevor took his blanket in the water to the first class! The instructor said that was a first for her!

In Dolphin 1, he was one of 4 kids in the class. Daddy went with him and hung out pool side while Gavin worked with his instructors! Voila, after 5 weeks, he graduated from Dolphin 1 and was signed up for Dolphin 2!

He had his first class last Saturday and did very well! He will be ready to visit Grandpa John in Florida in a few short weeks!

Just plain silly!

When daddy takes Gavin to preschool in the morning, Trevor likes riding in Gavin's big boy car seat. Just look at that face - is he excited to face forward, or what?

This is pretty funny. Trevor had a taste for rice a few weeks ago. We had some left from a take out meal. Mom left the container a little too close to Trevor and he dumped it on the counter. Then he said "Ahao". Look how quickly Gavin climbs down, around and up the other side of the tower to get in on the action!

Trevor playing in the rice. Gavin making his way around the tower.

Trevor going back for more food. Gavin making his way up the tower.

Gavin working his magic to clean up the rice with his mouth.

Back for seconds!

Another breath!

And mom is still taking photos, not too concerned with the mess on the table!

At Julia and Dave's

At Julia and Dave's house for their Colombian themed dinner party!
The boys enjoyed hanging out with Big Bear!

More February photos

Trevor with his shovel one minute and the lawn mower the next.
He is really catching on to the Colorado weather!

We went for a ride in the burley while Gavin and daddy were at swim lessons.
We stopped to watch the cows eat some hay.

Daddy and Gavin dancing.
Gavin teaching Trevor about the Croton plant - notice they both climbed on furniture to reach the plant!

February Photos

Trevor's new blanket from grandma Miriam.
Gavin checking his height again. His question is always "How tall am I now?"

The boys cleaning up some food they dropped on the floor. With help from Sturgis!
Gavin in front of the "Valentines tree!"

Trevor on the slide. The boys eating granola bars. Trevor's new thing is to pull the blue chair around the kitchen to get to whatever he wants. He learned this from big brother who pushes the antique wooden chair around and can reach just about everything.

Trader Joes stickers! Gavin and mom on a walk at the open space trail after preschool. Gavin would say "Wish we could go there mom." I pulled in and we went for a walk one day. We saw praire dogs, joggers and our shadow!
Trevor lever and his fire hat!

A visit to Uncle David's park

Think we spend a lot of time visiting parks, you're right! Uncle David has an elementary school right behind his house. One Saturday the boys and I ventured up for a visit. We had a great time! I think Uncle David and Amy did too!

Dudes at the park!

We got the burley out, strapped the boys in and headed to the park. Gavin took his latest Lego creation and Trevor took a book. They boys both had their cool sunglasses on!

I was pretty impressed that Trevor kept his on! He went for a ride on the spring car!
Here mom, take my book, please.

Vroom, Vroom!
