Trevor's visit with Santa

The kids are into Santa this year! I asked if they wanted to visit him and give him their lists - Trevor said yes and Gavin said no. I asked a few times to be sure. We also wrote up wish lists for both boys. Gavin said if Trevor went, he wanted Trevor to take his list. Trevor thought that was ok.

We went to visit Santa this morning at 9 (Monday). We were there when they opened. We looked around, got comfortable and got to walk right in. Trevor got to stand on the nice-o-meter and it put him on the nice list.

Santa was great! He talked to Trevor, read over his and Gavin's lists, asked what Trevor wanted (Trevor told him exactly what he wanted-we rehearsed), talked about the reindeer, that he only wanted one cookie and Rudolph only wanted one carrot, etc. Trevor gave him a few hugs, wished him a Merry Christmas and we were on our way. Yeah Trevor.

On Saturday, Trevor got to go to his first birthday minus big brother. Usually we attend parties for Gavin's friends. This one was for a little guy in Trevor's class! Yeah Trevor!

First real snow

The boys were excited for our first real snowfall of the season. We piled all of the snow from the driveway to one side to make a sledding hill. We'd come home after school and slide down it, until the 50s returned. We also made it to the park for some real hill sledding!

Last day of soccer for the season

On Gavin's last day of soccer for the season I thought it would be fun to go out for ice cream. Since DQ is just across the street why not! Check out these faces!!!

Pumpkin Picking 2014

We went to the pumpkin patch with grandma Joyce in late September. It was a warm, sunny Sunday. The kids chose their pumpkins and mom lugged them back to the car! We then went to the bounce houses and slide, visited the farm animals and ran around on the hay bail maze. (Yes, we wear boots just in case the pumpkin patch is a mud pit!)
