Then onto t-ball practice!

A visit to 'Trains, planes and automobiles'

On our way to visit grandma Joyce on Monday, we stopped at the Longmont Museum. They have an exhibit I thought the boys would enjoy.

Museum of Nature and Science

On one of our Mondays off, we visited the science museum in Denver. The new kids room is open so we wandered through, after seeing the space exhibit first. The boys are fascinated by astronauts and outer space. The exhibit wasn't too crowded so we got to play in the shuttle control room and try on some space gear! And they were both asleep by the time we got back to the house.

Golf and go-carts!

Gavin and Trevor have been asking to play miniture golf recently. We met up with uncle David and Amy in north Boulder one Sunday morning. We played a fierce round of golf. The boys insist that highest score wins. So, they won. The rest of us were within points of each other. Uncle David makes sure to do a water shot for the boys so he has to fish the ball out-which they then talk about for days!

After a round of golf the boys took Amy and David on the go-carts. They had a blast!

May visit to California!

In late May we flew to California to visit Joel's parents. We stayed in Bakersfield for a few days then drove to the coast to see the ocean (and the end of the continent as I told Gavin - he has been learning about the continents at school!).

It was a little cool but we still had fun playing in the sand, hunting for shells and running up to the waters edge. One evening we went down to Morro Bay and went on a short hike to overlook "The Rock!" The kids enjoyed it and had fun finding eucalyptus nuts/seeds on the path - which we brought a handful home! When we were in Bako - the kids rode bikes and had fun playing by the pool.

And back we are!
