A hike with Gavin

We ran errands, went to a lego event at the library and then the park today. It was  60 degrees in early January! Gavin was asking about the mountains and if you could drive up to them. So we did! We drove up Table Mesa Drive to NCAR. The national atmospheric research center. A great view of the city and the flatirons. He loved it. We went for a walk on a few short trails. Saw some cacti and deer and just had fun. He was so excited he is ready to go again. I said I'd wear my hiking boots next time!

Winter break 2

Gavin got to make lunch one day! Nice job G! Trevor shows off Patsy's bracelet making skills!

Holiday lights-second attempt

Each December we take a drive up the hill to a few over the top houses in Broomfield. Our first attempt was a bust. The two prize houses were dark. The first house was dark because the owner passed away before the holiday last year but the family kept the lights on. This year they decided not to. The next house was also dark. They must have been having a dinner party.  So... After Christmas we loaded into the car and took grandma with us! We drove around a bit to show her some lights. Then we went to theain event. It did not disappoint. Voila!

Holiday break fun

Gavin had two weeks off from school and Trevor had a week. We biked, went to the park and played games. One day the boys and I decided to go to Waneka Lake park (the big park in town) followed by a SmashBurger lunch break! We had fun and had a tasty lunch then hit another park! Good nap day!

Christmas part 1

Joel was again chef for the holidays. Kudos to another fab turkey!

Pre-Christmas

Super Trevor!

We started with Captain America PJs for Halloween. After a few hundred washes they're still going strong! He now has batman pajamas from a daycare friend and a complete collection from Maria! Shirts, socks and action figures. He is a real super hero now!

Trevor at gymnastics

Trevor has been asking to do gymnastics since he could talk. He has watched Gavin forever! I signed Trevor up as soon as he was age eligible 2.5. He loved it instantly. He also started climbing all over the furniture between classes and jumping off. The kid is fearless. At one class he had to climb an angled ladder then jump off (w mom and instructor holding him) he just jumped and laughed.  Miss Devon gets a kick out of his giggles and his super hero cape! You may not know that Trevor is a super hero - Captain America, Ironman or Super Man. We're safe !
