Gavin-15 mos!

Gavin's latest stats
20.5 lbs, 30 inches

We asked the pediatrician what next since last time we were there he asked if he was walking yet - no - that happened the next day. This time he said calculus. If that's the case, I'm in big trouble. I was hoping not to have to learn that till he got to high school!

His latest tricks:
- Playing in the backyard with the hose.
- Watching the tortoises eat.
- Eating sidewalk chalk.
This is my favorite funny face that he makes these days. Scrunched up face, teeth showing and a big smile! What a character - where does he get that from???
Grandma Joyce has "old" photos of me in the yard in my diaper - playing with water!
Gavin and his tortoise!
Gavin and his miniature horse, Sturgis.
Gavin and daddy!

Now we can use the A/C!

Last year when we moved, I told Joel that our first house project was energy efficiency - I thought compact fluorescent light bulbs - he thought solar. Well we got both. At the beginning of June the solar was installed. The best part is checking the website to see how our production is in a day - a nice bell curve starting at 6 a.m. and ending around 7. Joel can tell you all about it if you ask. I can simply repeat a few lines from his "presentation" and joke about jigawatts from Back to the Future!

Our first visit to the zoo!

We took a trip to the zoo last Sunday. Kate and Liam and Emily, Keith, Maddie and Henry joined us. We had a nice time - it was a little warm but fun. Gavin liked the bigger animals that moved around a lot - easier to focus on with everything else around him! We rode the train then got thru about a third of the zoo. We'll have to go back again to see the polar bears swimming!

Photos from our visit east

We flew back to PA for mommom's funeral. We stayed at cousin Lindsey's again. She is always very accomodating -thanks Lindz! The night we arrived, we got to visit with Brad, Nikki and Benjamin! Ben is 2 mos older than Gavin so it was fun to see them interact. Sunday was the funeral. Thanks to TomTom/Garmin, we arrived on time. After the funeral we went back to Aunt Elaine's house and visited with family. On Monday morning we got in the super rental car and drove up to moms place in Milton, had dinner w Uncle Dick. Next morning, hopped in the car and back to Lindsey's. Back to CO on Wednesday. Another whirl wind visit back east. Was nice to see everyone. We have to stop gathering for funerals though. Wedding anyone?
