Trevor's first time in winter gear!
Mother's Day was a memory maker thanks to Trevor and daddy. Before naptime daddy got T in his winter gear. Up to this point he would only wear his Captain Amreica jacket, sweat pants and boots. Daddy told him if he wanted to go build a snowman he needed to dress properly. Well he did. Boots, snow pants, ski jacket, gloves and hat. Go T-dog! Daddy sent us a few photos while we were painting. How exciting.
Snow day in May!
Yes, the snow continued overnight from Mother's Day so we got to enjoy one last winter adventure. Daddy successfully got Trevor into full winter gear for the first time EVER the day before. After lugging everything back up from the basement of course! At 7:30 in the morning we dressed for winter and went to the neighborhood park - and their mini sledding hill. Since it was Monday all the big kids were at school and we had the place to ourselves! We had a blast. Gavin probably did about 40 runs. Trevor took a few then was lured away by snow covered swings and slides! Gavin later joined us for a few fast runs down the slide! A great end to our winter season.
Mother's Day!
I taught two painting classes on Mother's Day. We were headed out of town later that week so why not! I took grandma Joyce and Gavin. Joel was home w Trevor for naptime. And in true Colorado fashion... It was snowing! I was scheduled to teach poppies and told Gavin he could paint whatever he wanted. He insisted on following along w the class! The class enjoyed his take on things and running commentary! We had fun and yes, I did help Gavin a little but overall he watched and followed along!
Soccer - season 3
This is Gavin's third season of playing soccer. He and the other 4 and 5 year olds are getting the hang of giving each other a little more space and not always being in a soccer scrum. Trevor gave it a try too with the tiny tots team. He's not quite ready to leave moms side though. He did just turn 3!
Biker dude
On one of our adventure Mondays, Gavin accompanied me on a trip to Boulder. We ran our errands and ended with a visit to the Valmont Bike Park. Friends told us about it so we had to check it out Dirt paths with hills, turns, sand pits and more. I had a hard time getting Gavin back to the car! I didn't bring a bike so I got to chase behind on foot!
