Trevor has two favorite toys - balls and balloons. We have more toy balls around the house than you can imagine - baseballs, footballs, soccer balls, basketballs, nerf balls, balls for the pool, exercise balls, you name it, we probably have it (Except for that spiked ball that Maria has)! We keep the big green ball down in the basement these days. Last week I took Trevor down and he decided it was time to for a ride in his fire truck. On one of our many loops around the basement he spotted the big green ball and insisted on touching every time we made another loop. When it was time to go back upstairs, Trevor ran over to the ball and started rolling it towards the stairs. He even tried to push it up the steps. At that point I figured, he is a Beam-child and very persistent so I'll give him a hand. The ball made it upstairs and got rolled around and around the house. It lasted upstairs for about a week before mom got tired of it being EVERYWHERE so it's back in the basement and Trevor hasn't been down there since!
Balloons aka "Boons" - Trevor spots them in books and can open a book to the exact page they're on. He sees hot air balloons in the morning when they're flying above Boulder and when we're at the grocery, he points to every balloon he sees. Some are even football shaped which makes them even cooler! Unfortunately helium doesn't last forever and the boys are a little rough on balloons around the house so after a few days they mysteriously vanish (aka put in the trash).
I'm not saying we need more balls or balloons in the house, just telling you how it is round here!
