4th of July parade/ice cream and Rez.

Mom took over the annual 4th if July neighborhood parade and ice cream truck visit this year. We decorated our bikes and met at the pool. Big kids went one direction and the littles went the other. Trevor rode his strider this year w Gavin. Last year T was in the wagon! We had a good crowd. We met back at the pool and met the ice cream man! Not a bad treat for 9:45 in the morning.

We then hopped in the car and met up w some preschool friends at the Boulder Res. This is as close to the beach as we can get in Colorado! Weather was iffy. We had to get out of the water few times due to distant thunder. It was fun!

I judge a days success if I see this in the rear view mirror!

Daddy's office picnic

We went to daddy's office picnic in June. The kids liked the park play structure and daddy liked the caricature artist!

Fire Station Open House

We visited our local fire station one HOT Saturday in June with our neighbors. The kids enjoyed seeing all of the fire trucks, SWAT team vehicle, robots, helicopter and more. The highlight was watching the firemen tear the roof and door off
of a car with their equipment to extract a mannequin. Trevor asked for days about the guy in the car, "why wasn't he real?", etc. I was convinced this event was actually a recruitment event to get the next generation of fire fighters!
