Weather shots

First real snow

The boys were excited for our first real snowfall of the season. We piled all of the snow from the driveway to one side to make a sledding hill. We'd come home after school and slide down it, until the 50s returned. We also made it to the park for some real hill sledding!

A few stories written by Gavin at school

Once we were going to Dairy Queen. Trevor, Gavin, daddy. The end. (They rode their bikes there!)

Today we are going sledding at the park. Me and my mom. I bet the park will have a lot of snow. The end. (Pix of snow clouds and snow on the grass)

Once we were going trick or treating. Me and my brother got a lot if candy. We had to... Dump my bag. Got heavy twice. The end. (Pix of dad, Gavin, Trevor, neighbor boy and mom)

Last day of soccer for the season

On Gavin's last day of soccer for the season I thought it would be fun to go out for ice cream. Since DQ is just across the street why not! Check out these faces!!!

Pumpkin Picking 2014

We went to the pumpkin patch with grandma Joyce in late September. It was a warm, sunny Sunday. The kids chose their pumpkins and mom lugged them back to the car! We then went to the bounce houses and slide, visited the farm animals and ran around on the hay bail maze. (Yes, we wear boots just in case the pumpkin patch is a mud pit!)

One of Trevor's Mondays

One one of Trevor's Mondays with mom, in late September we ventured into Boulder to get the oil changed in the car. We brought our bikes for a bit of an adventure. The weather wasn't so nice that day but we still had fun exploring the bike path (wooly caterpillar and watching the bugs on the creek)

When we got home daddy took Trevor on a little motorcycle ride around the neighborhood. Trevor grinned from ear to ear the whole time.

A visit with Grandma and Grandpa 10/14

In mid-October, grandma and grandpa came for a visit. We thought it would be fun to go to the mountains for a few days with them. We rented a cabin through the YMCA Snow Mountain Ranch near Granby. It was a great weekend with beautiful weather. We did all kinds of activities including pottery painting, a horse drawn hayride complete with roasted marshmallows and hot cocoa, and miniature golf. The kids were excited that they got to sleep in bunk beds. Lots of fun!
