Time for "pupcakes!"

Grandma Miriam flew in to celebrate Gavin's 3rd birthday. We had her make"pupcakes," as Gavin calls them! We taste tested them on Thursday evening, celebrated at daycare on Friday, had more that evening for G's real birthday, then finished them off on Saturday at the party, then with uncle David! They were good!

Tomorrow is Gavin's 3rd birthday! Time flies. He is so excited about his birthday this year. He and his friends at daycare have similar birthdays and have all been talking about their big day. Gavin knows his birthday is March 23rd! Grandma Miriam flew in to celebrate - she made mini cupcakes this afternoon and Gavin helped decorate them. We are headed to the WOW Museum on Saturday with some of G's buddies. Every time he talks to someone on the phone he asks if they are coming to his birthday party - "Uncle David, are you coming to my birthday?" Cute kid.

One of Gavin's favorite electronic devices is the camera. It is amazing how fast little people pick up on how to use things correctly - they could teach us a few things! He knows how to turn it on, review photos, zoom and most importantly put the strap around his wrist so he doesn't drop it. Here are a few of Gavin's recent subjects!

Gavin wanted to help daddy shovel snow this year. He put on his boots and hat and got his little red shovel out of the garage. (Yes grandma, it was a warm post-snow day - ie. no gloves!)

Mommy always takes video and photos of me when my big brother is taking his afternoon nap. She is FINALLY posting a few to show you my latest tricks. In the last few weeks I've gone from reaching for things to scooting around. My scooting looks like a 3 part crawl with one leg pushing off. I MIGHT start crawling soon, but Gavin is so good at retrieving things for me - I've got him trained!

In other news, I'm finally getting my first tooth. Mom says it's a sharp one! It should be fully in by my first birthday!
